LA-BOBO is a venue for kids' birthday parties and creative workshops in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia. The goal of the redesign was simple: parents should see what's on offer on their phone within seconds and book a date.
Starting point
The old site had three problems I see with most small businesses:
- it was messy on mobile, and parents search on their phones,
- it didn't lead to a booking, information was scattered,
- the owner couldn't edit it herself, so content was out of date.
A design that fits the audience
For a kids' party website, the design is warm, playful and colorful, yet still clear. The mascot from the logo appears throughout the site, and the photos are real photos of the venue, not generic stock images.
Every page has a visible Book a date button.
An admin for the owner
The most important part of the project isn't visible to visitors. In the admin, the owner manages:
- every text on the site,
- packages and prices,
- the gallery (photo uploads),
- news and ideas,
- the forum and post moderation,
- contact details and social media links.
She doesn't need to know any technology, and she doesn't need to call a developer for changes.
Bookings and the forum
The booking form saves the inquiry and sends it to the owner's email. The forum lets parents swap party ideas. Because the forum is public, it's protected against bots with hidden fields, time tokens, rate limits and moderation.
Local SEO
When someone searches for a kids' birthday party nearby, Google needs to know where LA-BOBO is and what it offers. That's why the site has:
- LocalBusiness structured data with address and contact details,
- FAQs as FAQ structured data,
- unique titles and descriptions for every page,
- a sitemap and canonical URLs.
Hosting on cPanel
The client already has cPanel hosting, so the site runs there, with a MySQL database for content and photos. No additional monthly costs.
The result
Eight pages, fully editable from the admin, with a clear path to booking and spam protection. See the case study.
